About

Me @ The Met Cloisters
By Savannah Lauren

Hi, welcome. In a nutshell: I’m obsessed with improving the world we live in by creating products and services that restore human connection.

Currently, I lead product at the seed-stage series A startup Sounder building the future of podcasting and audio interactivity. I'm also available for startup consulting.

Previously, I was head of product for the hospitality startup SALIDO where we built a centralized operations platform for restaurants and bars that also created new ways to monetize their data. Before that, I was head of product and engineering for all mobile products for LearnVest + Northwestern Mutual which centered around ground-breaking financial planning tools for middle America. I began my career as an engineer for the consumer productivity app Springpad which rivaled Pinterest and Evernote at its peak.

I graduated from MIT with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science with a focus on human-computer interaction. My passion for technology came at an early age when I broke almost all my toys in an attempt to understand how they worked. Somehow I’ve convinced several people and companies this type of behavior is a good thing.

When I’m not working I’m usually trying to learn new things, right now: baking, weightlifting, piano, and portrait photography. I can be bribed with bbq, whiskey, and gummy candy.

I believe supporting others is the greatest gift one can give to the world.
